2018 SPECIAL RECOGNITION
Judy DeWald joined VPTC in 2002 and, in 2011, Judy was recognized as a Builder especially for her many years of Chairing the Kitchen Committee. Now, 7 years later, she has continued to chair that committee. It’s a huge job and Judy often refers to herself as the kitchen witch. Judy is retiring this year but will be working with the new chairs to keep it running smoothly. Judy continues to be one of our most active scorekeepers as well.

2017 SPECIAL RECOGNITION
Ralph Sharp came to Viewpoint in 2004. With in a few years he was elected to our Executive serving as VP, President and Past President. Since being awarded our Builder Award in 2015 Ralph has gone on to be VP and President of the East Valley Senior Tennis League while continuing to Captain the 4.0 Men's Team and a member of the Player Policy Advisory Committee. Ralph has been very involved in the TenCap implementation and, while it is not a perfect system, Ralph and others are working to ensure that our matches are challenging and fun. In 2005 he said that he hoped to play long enough so he could get to play 1.5 again.
Thank you Ralph and congratulations.
Bev Latrace joined the VPTC in 1999. After years of coaching and being co-captain of the 1.5 team plus her involvement with the Star group, Bev was recognized in 2012 as a Builder.
Since that time, Bev has continued to coach at both the 1.5 and 2.5 levels, has co-captained both the Star group and 75+ team for several years and been involved in committee work for the VPTC. Dale Bowen suggest she is very quiet about her own contributions, she's calm, encouraging, highly organized and "a hell of a nice person".
Thank you Bev and congratulations.
2015 SPECIAL RECOGNITION
Dale and Pat Bowen were given special recognition this year. For the 16 years they have been in Viewpoint they have given their time and energy to our Club and our Community. They have opened their home for more parties than any other club member and have been active league players and supported our Pro Program. The many people who nominated Pat and Dale described them as encouraging, positive, fair, great sports, well organized, very special, kind, generous and willing to put their Heart and Soul into making tennis fun and social for everyone.
